Silent Women in Mozambican Writer Lília Momplé's Short Stories

چکیده
Lília Momplé, a Mozambican author, portrays the coexistence between black and white men women in her works. By contesting colonial legacy, author contributes to subaltern's voice. In this paper, we discuss how characters, particular, short story collection No One Killed Suhura, are oppressed by colonialist societies. This text addresses violence of social, racial, sexual inequalities power relations established colonizers colonized during twentieth century Mozambique. We will see that some literary strategies used include omniscient focus narrator, relationship history literature, irony.
